When we discovered Algarve, this sunny place of heaven with warm, loving people, amazing landscapes, blue sky and infinite ocean, we decided to make it our home. At least a small part of it. Because it is so beautiful we decided to share it with you.
All properties listed here are places "Indigo Algarve Villa collection worthy" - places we use too: four luxury and beachfront villas in the Algarve, Portugal: two in Carvoeiro, one in Benagil and one in Portimao. And as our own homes, we are ensuring the highest level of comfort, style and service.

VILLA CONCHA'S BIT OF HISTORY
Back in 1994, Cindy and Paul, an amazing Dutch-English couple living in Carvoeiro, decided to build a house near Benagil. A Portuguese traditional house. When they started digging, they found a entire level of shells. So the name: Villa Concha (Concha = Shell in Portuguese).
For Indigo, Villa Concha was the only property we decided for during the first visit. It was love at first sight. Paul was there too, and a handshake was all we all needed it.
Why Villa Concha was love at first sight?

- Cati loved the 6000 sqm private Algarvian garden and the dream of having a wooden house and a giant cheese in the garden.

VILLA OCEANO BY INDIGO algarve Villa Collection`
Ocean front line located 5 minutes walk to central Carvoeiro, this spectacular 3 bedroom villa is perfect for families with kids as well as for small groups.
Villa Oceano's bit of history
The villa gets back in 1964 and is a traditional Portuguese house on the outside. Before we discovered it, it was owned by a Swedish art curator and his wife. The art wooden furniture and the photography collection you enjoy in this place are their great contribution.
It was a tough fight for the Indigo team for winning this property, but the Algarvian coast wind in the afternoons and view from the roof-top terrace won!

VILLA VOGUE BY INDIGO Algarve Villa Collection
3 bedroom villa is located on Gramacho golf course, only 7 minutes drive from Carvoeiro Beach.
Villa Vogue's bit of history
When we started the adventure of creating the Indigo Retreats, we were looking to offer traditional Portuguese experience at the its best. A modern design property was not into cards. And one of our team members was so much into traditional properties, and the budget was already exhausted...
What won? The sings of the birds, the tranquility in the air and the green that surrounds it. (Yes, even Monk would stay here! And yes, we are all Monk fans).

VILLA MADRIGAL BY INDIGO Algarve Villa Colelction
Located in Portimao harbor, only 3 minutes walk to Portimao's beach, this 5 bedroom villa is an acquired luxury taste.
Villa Madrigal's bit of history
Built by a Hollywood movie producer in 1984, this location is anything but traditional. It is art, it is intrigued, it is old and new. Simply pittoresque.
We, the Indigo team, visited the property just because one of the members was totally in love with a picture in the add: the handmade sculptured wooden doors (in this picture). What we didn't know at that time was we all will fall in love with this place: the Hollywood movie producer and artist- she is fascinating, the architecture (also a concept of the artist) - amazing, the location - could not imagine better, and the vibe of the house - just perfect.
In 2024 we are closing this property for full renovation. The international award winning architect MARLENE ULDSCHMIDT accepted to get this huge challenge in helping us to bring Portimao the luxury that it deserves.
